Chivalry: Medieval Warfare devs plan to put a 'bigger focus' on customization

Chivalry: Medieval Warfare's customization options will "grow a lot" as the game progresses, developer Steve Piggott said during a recent developer Q&A video.

"[Customization] is an area that's going to be one of our bigger focuses," Piggott said. "We feel like Chivalry lacks customization a bit, and you don't need that to have a great game, but we feel like that's something that can add spice, especially if you've been playing awhile. Customization and create your own character. That's actually an area where Chivalry's going to grow a lot in."

Piggott suggested that players look at the game's free-for-all mode to get an idea of what they're planning. The developer also revealed that the game's mod tools aren't far off from launch.

"I don't want to give it an exact date on that," Piggott said. "We are closing in on it. It's one of the next big things you'll see coming from us."

You can watch the video above for the full Q&A session. Chivalry: Medieval Warfare was successfully Kickstarted in September 2012 and launched the following month.
