Sniper Elite 3 "expected" to release in 2014 on Xbox, PS3, next-gen consoles

Sniper Elite 3 is "expected" to release in 2014 on Xbox, PlayStation 3 and next generation consoles, publisher 505 Games announced today.

The publisher believes in the "extremely high potential" of the Sniper Elite brand following claimed Sniper Elite V2 sales of 1.1 million copies and earning $28.6 million in revenues since its launch in April until December 2012.

Sniper Elite V2 launched last April for Windows PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 and is set for a Wii U release this Spring.

Polygon reported last month that the developer, Rebellion Developments is creating and publishing Sniper Elite V2: Nazi Zombie Army. The zombie spin off is available to purchase now as a Steam exclusive.
