Thief developer describes the resurrection of Garrett
The newly redesigned character model for Thief's protagonist, Garrett, was influenced by the design of Assassin's Creed's Altair, game director Nicolas Cantin told Game Informer.
Cantin was heavily involved in the design of Thief's lead character, having worked previously on the character model for the Assassin's Creed lead. According to a video interview with the game's developers, the reinvention of Garrett hopes to help players see the character as more than simply some "goth." The video interview can be viewed here.
This upcoming Thief reboot was first announced earlier in the month and is scheduled to launch next year on PlayStation 4, Windows PC and other next-generation platforms.
