Stealth Bastard Deluxe first DLC pack out today on Steam, adds 20 new levels
The first downloadable content pack for 2D platformer Stealth Bastard Deluxe is now available on Steam, developer Curve Studios announced today.
The Test Chambers add-on pack, available for $2.99, adds 20 additional levels to the game's existing 80 and requires players to rely heavily on the game's teleporting system. Players can find teleports in vending machines scattered through each level and use them to dodge security robots. These new levels come with six new Steam achievements and new features for the game's level editor.
In Stealth Bastard Deluxe, players will jump, sneak and fly through areas packed with dangerous obstacles, enemies and challenging puzzles. The game's level editor allows players to change existing levels, build new ones and test out other player-created levels.
In a press statement, creator Jonathan Biddle said that use of the teleporters was more frequent in Stealth Bastard's initial prototype, though final development went in a different direction.
"It's a unique twist on the formula — it makes the game play very differently," he said. "It encourages the player to think much more strategically to beat some mind-bending puzzles."
Stealth Bastard Deluxe launched on Steam in November and is available for Windows PC for $9.99, while its soundtrack is available for $3.99. Check out the trailer above for a first look at the The Test Chambers DLC.
