Nintendo video offers a look at speed improvements in next Wii U update

The Wii U's laggy user interface is in Nintendo's crosshairs, according to a video released by the company that offers a glimpse at speed improvements coming in next month's system update.

Nintendo plans to introduce a second update this summer, speeding up the process of software launching even more. Even so, based on the video footage of April's update, load time after installation is already much faster.

Following the launch of the update, Wii U users can expect to see the release of the Wii U Virtual Console, which will include a selection of NES and SNES titles at launch.
