The launch trailer for Tomb Raider, Crystal Dynamics' reboot of the classic franchise, sets the stage for Lara Croft's first struggle to survive as she makes her way into the annals of video game history's heroes.

As Lara points out in the video above, every survivor has their own story to tell. Every hero has to start somewhere, and for Lara that is the island of Yamati, where a mysterious force warping the island and its inhabitants could prove to be more dangerous than it initially seems. Lara will hone her survival instincts and undergo trials that will shape her into the Tomb Raider we have come to know.
