Arma 3 alpha preview trailer shows off helicopter combat, scuba diving

As developer Bohemia Interactive gears up for the release of the Arma 3 alpha test, it has released a sneak peek trailer showcasing its vision for the modern combat simulator.

Clocking in at just shy of five minutes, the Arma 3 preview teases some of the various infantry classes and shows off an open-world sandbox map on a "smaller" island which represents only about 15% of the game's total terrain. In addition to the game's infantry combat, the trailer offers glimpses at vehicular warfare with a car-mounted turret and a helicopter, as well as underwater scuba infiltration missions.

Arma 3 is scheduled for release on PC later this year.
