Star Wars: The Old Republic will change log-in procedures beginning April 2
From April 2, BioWare will require players to use their Display Name and not their email address to log into Star Wars: The Old Republic and the MMO's official website.
According to the website, BioWare is implementing the change to help combat security threats, such as account hijacks. Using a Display Name rather than an email address increases the game's authentication system.
BioWare encourages players to start logging in with their Display Name before the cut off date. Players who don't know their Display Name can log in to www.StarWarsTheOldRepublic.com where the name is displayed on the top right-hand side of the website homepage.
