Darkstalkers Resurrection sequel is on the cards pending its performance

Capcom may consider doing a sequel for fighting game Darkstalkers Resurrection and do conversions of Vampire Savior 2: The Lord of Vampire and Vampire Hunter 2: Darkstalkers' Revenge if the new title's sales and fan voices are strong, producer Tomoaki Ayano told Game Watch Japan.

Hunter 2 and Vampire 2 were originally released for Japanese arcades in 1997 as simultaneous updates to Darkstalkers 3. The first game in the series, Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors, was released in 1994 for Japanese arcades.

Darkstalkers Resurrection will launch on the PlayStation Network ($14.99) and Xbox Live Arcade (1200 Microsoft Points) on March 12 and March 13, respectively. The compilation features The Night Warrior: Darkstalkers' Revenge and Darkstalkers.
