Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Blacklist is coming to Wii U in North American and Europe this August, Nintendo announced today.
The title will launch on Nintendo's console alongside the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC versions. Blacklist will be available on Aug. 20 in North America, Aug. 22 in Europe and Aug. 23 in the U.K. According to Nintendo, players will use the Wii U GamePad controller to operate protagonist Sam Fisher's tools, switch weapons, combat enemies and navigate environments.
Splinter Cell: Blacklist was rumored for publication on the Wii U earlier this year, when the LinkedIn profiles of two Ubisoft employees came to light with listings for the game.
