Mirror's Edge seems like a game tailor-made for the Oculus Rift, and owners of the headset can now try playing it with head tracking by using the Vireio Perception driver, as demonstrated in the video above from YouTube user Cymatic Bruce.
Vireio Perception includes support of varying degrees for games such as Half-Life 2 and Left 4 Dead, and Mirror's Edge appears to be a particularly disorienting experience with the Rift. Bruce notes in his commentary that situations in which the user's head movements don't correlate with the in-game perspective, such as sequences in which protagonist Faith must balance on a pipe, are especially strange to play.
Here's hoping for a Mirror's Edge sequel with proper Rift support from EA DICE.
