SonyAhead of the release of its upcoming console, PlayStation 4, Sony Computer Entertainment America has snapped up the crowdsource-driven advertising agency Mofilm, the company revealed.
SCEA worked with Mofilm in the past to help support the launch of LittleBigPlanet Karting in the U.S., in addition to a campaign for the PlayStation console in Latin America. Mofilm is a platform for independent filmmakers to submit potential national television advertisements; In the case of Sony's LBP Karting campaign, users helped select the winning video.
"We have been incredibly impressed with the creativity and quality of work that the MOFILM community has produced while working with us over the past year," said senior vice president of PlayStation brand marketing at SCEA, Guy Longworth in a prepared statement. "As PlayStation moves into its next phase of growth, we look forward to continuing our work with Mofilm as our agency of record for crowdsourced advertising."
