Xseed rebranded as Marvelous USA, Inc following acquisition of Atlus Online

Following its acquisition of Atlus Online from Index Digital Media, Inc this year, video game publisher Xseed Games JKS announced today that it has rebranded itself Marvelous USA.

Based in Torrance, California, Marvelous USA comprises of the Xseed Games team. Under Ken Berry's management, the team will continue directly manage Xseed Games for future and planned Xseed Games titles for Windows PC, console and handheld platforms.

The Irvine, California-based Marvelous Online will look after mobile and online social games, and Tatsuya Nishioka will be the division's senior director. There are a total of 40 staff across the two offices, both of which will be overseen by president and CEO Shinichi Suzuki.

"Marvelous USA unifies our US operations under the global Marvelous brand while giving our customers topnotch products and support for both traditional and online social and mobile games," Suzuki said in a statement. "Our Xseed Games console and PC brand will continue to offer the quality games and service for which it is known, and Marvelous Online gives us expanded reach into mobile and online social gaming markets."

Xseed is currently working with Grasshopper Manufacture to publish Killer is Dead in Q3 2013 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
