SmartGlass for Xbox One lets users track friend progress live

SmartGlass for Xbox One will allow users to view achievements, buy in-game items and view the progress of friends via a live timeline, Marc Whitten announced during the Xbox E3 2013 conference.

SmartGlass will work with Xbox Live to track leaderboards and more. Users will be able to browse through a live timeline that updates as friends progress and switch games. A system called SmartMatch will also enable users to queue up for multiplayer matches while playing a game. During the on-stage demo, Microsoft was able to load and enter a multiplayer match in Ryse.

The system will also display real-time comparisons for users and their friends.
