Art Academy headed to Wii U this summer

A new installment in the Art Academy series is in development for Wii U, Nintendo president and CEO Satoru Iwata announced during an E3 Nintendo Direct event today.

The new software will be available in the eShop this summer. The game will give aspiring artists pencils, colored pencils and pastels to draw with on the Wii U's tablet-like GamePad. Players will also be able to post their creations on the console's social network, Miiverse.
