A new episode of Nintendo Direct will be broadcast online this Wednesday, June 26 and will focus on Pikmin 3, the company announced today.
The Nintendo Direct broadcast for Japan will begin at 4 a.m. PT / 7 a.m. ET on Nintendo.co.jp. Details for possible U.K. and U.S. broadcasts are not yet available.
Pikmin creator Shigeru Miyamoto and comedian Hitoshi Matsumoto will play and discuss Pikmin 3 during the direct. The real-time strategy game is slated to release on July 13 in Japan, July 26 in Europe and Aug. 4 in North America for the Wii U. Nintendo revealed in April that it planned to pass on its traditional E3 press conference to do smaller events and Nintendo Directs. According to Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime, the hands-on approach was caused by a specific set of circumstances and that a full-blown Nintendo press conference may see a return at future E3s.
