Mix Party Xbox 360 web app lets partygoers vote on music playlists

Mix Party, a new web app for Xbox 360 developed in collaboration by Microsoft and Nokia, aims to solve the problem of a party's soundtrack not being quite to the taste of its attendees.

As explained in the video, the host of a party launches Mix Party through the Internet Explorer browser in his or her Xbox 360, which then displays a QR code on the TV screen. Partygoers can capture this QR code using their smartphone and then vote on what musical artists they want to play next, or which artists they would rather not hear.

More information on Mix Party can be found on the Exploring IE blog.
