Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate trailer shows off high-flying ninja battles

A new trailer for Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate shows the series' characters engaged in high-speed hand-to-hand combat in breakable stages.

At least two of the stages in the trailer come from other games: The Sky City Tokyo stage with the giant attacking Buddha statue originally appeared in Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, and the Lost World stage where the fighters battle atop a series of plateaus returns from Dead or Alive 3. Forest, another stage from Dead or Alive 3, does not appear in this trailer but will also be returning in Ultimate.

The trailer also features the new characters: Returning grappler Leon, Momiji and Rachel from the Ninja Gaiden series, and Jacky Bryant from Sega's Virtua Fighter series.

Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate adds new modes like Team Fight and Survival, and features different costume packs for the female characters for players who pre-order the game at Gamestop and Amazon. It launches for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 this September.
