Final Fantasy 7 has finally launched on Steam after over two years of rumors suggesting it was on its way to the digital distribution platform.
While the game was re-released to PC last year by Square Enix, it was only made available through the publisher's online store. The game is now available on Steam for $11.99, featuring partial controller support and 36 Steam achievements, and will require 3GB of hard drive space.
Suggestions that the game would make its Steam appearance reared their head two years ago when it appeared on Valve's content description record listing all titles on its servers. In 2012, Final Fantasy 7 appeared in a Steam product description page.
