Steam accounts now link with Twitch

Steam users now have the ability to link their Steam accounts to their Twitch accounts, according to an announcement on the official Twitch blog.

Players can link their Steam account to Twitch through the "Connections" page found in their Twitch account settings. Through account linking, DOTA 2 players will be eligible for item drops when viewing Twitch streams of tournaments they hold a ticket for, the official DOTA 2 blog revealed.

"We realize that people have different reasons why they prefer to watch in game or via streams and wanted to bridge the gap of features they were missing out on by choosing the service that works for them the most," the blog states. "We hope to expand on the features available via this system and would love to hear what you think we should work on next."
