Ronimo Games' 2D multiplayer online battle arena Awesomenauts is coming to PlayStation 4, the studio announced today.
Ronimo will be at Gamescom on Aug. 21 to show off the PS4 version of Awesomenauts. According to a press statement, the company also hopes it will be able to share a "very different but similar sized announcement" sometime early next week.
A post on the game's Facebook page states the PS4 port was developed in conjunction with Abstraction Games. Awesomenauts on PS4 will include all features from the extended PC version, as well as "tons of fixes to both code and gameplay," an additional map, twice the number of characters and DLC skins allowing players to customize the look of their character.
Awesomenauts launched on Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network in May 2012, followed by a Windows PC version on Steam in August. The game is also available for Mac and Linux, and launched as a boxed version at retail this past June.
Gamescom will take place next week, Aug. 21-25 in Cologne, Germany. Polygon will be in attendance to provide coverage of the show.
