Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate HD arriving in October for XBLA, PSN

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate HD will be released on Oct. 31 on Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network, according to an announcement on the official Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Facebook page.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate HD is an upgraded port of the 3DS version, which was released in March. In February, Konami U.K. studio head Dave Cox said that an HD version of the game was developed by MercurySteam before it was optimized for the handheld. At the time, Cox said a console port may see release pending the game's performance on the 3DS.

Last week, The Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Collection, featuring the HD version of the Nintendo 3DS game Mirror of Fate, was listed on PlayAsia for $34.90, available for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. It consisted of the first Castlevania: Lords of Shadow game, along with the Reverie and Resurrection DLC packs and an exclusive demo for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2.
