Electronic Arts is asking FIFA franchise fans to speak up if they hope to see women's soccer leagues included in upcoming instalments of the FIFA series, EA Sports' Matt Bilby told Polygon.
According to Bilby, EA first gauged fan reaction five years ago, asking users whether they would be interested in the inclusion of female teams; however, fans responded by saying "No, we only want to play against Barcelona" and other highly successful teams, he said.
In these last years the tide appears to be turning, Bilby continued. "There's interest in women's U.S. national teams. There's last...

Microsoft's Phil Spencer today announced that PopCap's Peggle 2 and Plants Vs. Zombies Garden Warfare will both be coming to Xbox One first.
Both of the EA-published titles were revealed during the company's E3 2013 event earlier this year. Garden Warfare offers an odd, third-person shooter take on PopCap's casual strategy series. Details on Peggle 2 are still incredibly slim; the game's announcement occupied just a few seconds of EA's E3 presser.
No specific dates, nor the terms of the exclusivity, were announced for either game.

In Blitz mode, players will be attacking and defending zones on each end of a map. When an player makes it to the highlighted zone on the opposing teams side, they score a point and are instantly teleported back to their end of the map.
The mode will be...

Or at least that's what developer Crytek is in Cologne, Germany this week to try and prove.
"Coming out of E3, people thought it was all flash and no substance," said Patrick Esteves, design director on Ryse, "but I think when people get their hands on it they will think differently because they will realize there is a deep combat system that requires a lot of mastery and then on top of that, it looks beautiful."
Two days before the official kick-off of Gamescom in Cologne, Crytek...
