Call of Duty: Ghosts' Blitz feels like lightning-fast Capture the Flag

Call of Duty: Ghosts' new Blitz multiplayer mode is a sort of one-way capture the flag.

Players score points by running to the enemy's side of the map and dashing through a portal. The second they enter the portal they receive a point for their team and are instantly teleported back to their side of the map. Once a player runs through the portal there's a slight delay before the next person from the same team can score on the portal.

The play is fast and fluid, and the instant scoring and teleportation requires a major shift in tactics.

We chatted with Mark Rubin, executive producer at Infinity Ward, about the new mode, how it came about and how it fits into the greater universe of Call of Duty.
