Uwe Boll heads to Kickstarter to bring Postal 2 to life on film

Controversial film director Uwe Boll, best known for his work bringing video game licenses to film, is now behind a Kickstarter campaign to fund a sequel to the film Postal.

With a funding goal of $500,000, Boll states the Kickstarter campaign will help to fund a "controversial comedy in which we take up current political issues" and adds "that there is no difference between our democracy and the prison camps in Russia or China."

The original Postal film adaptation hit North America in 2007 and was widely panned by critics. The film is based on the game of the same name from Arizona-based studio Running with Scissors. The Postal video game launch in 1997.

As of press time, the film has reached $2,511 of its $500,000 goal, with two months to go.
