Spelunky speed run goes to Hell in under seven minutes

Twitch user Bananasaurus_Rex managed a near-impossible feat by completing Spelunky's hidden, ultra-challenging Hell level — but what's truly impressive is that he did so with record-setting speed.

The attempt was captured in the video posted above, in which Bananasaurus_Rex survives the game's plethora of insta-death traps and randomly generated enemies while simultaneously fulfilling the obscure requirements to even make it to Hell. It's fraught with near-misses, clever exploitations and, finally, victory — a goal he achieves in under seven minutes of play time.
