Tales of Xillia 2 TGS trailer hints at a mysterious time-altering choice

Tales of Xillia 2 will task players with making one very important, weighty choice, according to the latest English trailer for the game unveiled at the 2013 Tokyo Game Show today.

The trailer above focuses on characters Elle and Ludger and offers scant details on a mysterious trial. Ludger, who possesses the power to travel to and destroy alternate timelines running alongside the real world's is hired by a company to do just this — the spirit Origin, which previously helped maintain balance, can no longer sustain the high amount of souls, necessitating the demise of many in other worlds.

Earlier this summer, Namco Bandai announced that Tales of Xillia 2 will launch in North America and Europe in 2014 for PlayStation 3. Its predecessor, Tales of Xillia, launched in North America in August. Check out Polygon's review here.
