Go from orbit to surface in this 10-minute clip of Star Citizen gameplay
Citizen Con 2014 — a gathering for Cloud Imperium's upcoming space epic Star Citizen — happened on Friday in Los Angeles and from it comes this 10 minute excerpt of a livestream showing the broad range of gameplay it offers.
If the resolution is poor or framerate drops, that's because it's a capture of a stream, not from the game itself, though Cloud Imperium stresses this is 100 percent in-game footage and gameplay.
The clip tours the interior of a space vessel as a human pilot, then takes viewers through an atmospheric entry and landing sequence, followed by a trip through customs and a look at one of the large corporate cities in the game.
Star Citizen, which has raked in more than $50 million in crowdfunding through various sources to date, is due to release sometime in 2015. It has already rolled out its "Arena Commander," an alpha module giving backers a look at the game's dogfighting components.
