'Xbox Laptop' modder is back to offer the 'Playbook 4' for $1,395
Remember the "Xbook One," the portable console by hardware modder Ed Zarick? Well, thanks to popular demand, here's his encore, the "Playbook 4."
The Playbook is built on the same foundation as the Xbook, Zarick says. He designed and 3D printed its case (which comes in black and white.) It also uses a 22-inch Vizio 1080p LED LCD display. An HDMI out port may be added on request for those who want to game on a larger display, but then, that kind of defeats the purpose of having this console, as it has no battery and must be plugged into an outlet to work.
Again, Zarick is taking orders, so if you have a PS4 you want him to carve up, the PlayBook 4 is $1,095. If you want him to get the PS4 and mod it, the cost is $1,395. The HDMI out port is an extra $50. A $750 nonrefundable deposit is required. Once he gets the commission, it will take about 2 to 3 weeks for Zarick to assemble the Playbook. More details and color options are explained at this link.
