The League of Legends World Championships came to an end over the weekend, seeing team Samsung White defeat Star Horn Royal Club in a 3-1 match that won them the final $1 million prize pool.
The winning team featured Hyeong-seok "Looper" Jang, In-kyu "Dandy" Choi, Won-seok "Pawn" Heo, Seung-bin "imp" Gu and Se-hyoung "Mata" Cho. The professional League players lost only two games throughout the entire tournament.
This is the second consecutive year that team Star Horn Royal Club finished second place in the World Final.
This year's final took place in Seoul's World Cup Stadium with an audience of 40,000 fans. The 2013 World Championship sold out the Staples Center in Los Angeles last year, which has the capacity to hold a bit more than 12,000 people. Last year's finals drew more than 32 million viewers online, with a peak of more than 8.5 million concurrent viewers.
