Xbox One owners will finally get the chance to customize their dashboard
Xbox One owners can now expect to eventually be able to customize the look of their console's dashboard and take in-game screenshots, Xbox head Phil Spencer confirmed during the Inner Circle podcast, which you can listen to via YouTube today.
Among the changes coming to the console are the addition of themes and background images, said Spencer, adding that he had been "beaten up over" the lack of options for taking in-game screenshots in the past.
The Microsoft console has so far received a number of monthly updates that add new features following its launch, including a new media player, better SmartGlass functionality and external hard drive support. The planned UI customization will likely be bundled with a future update; However, according to Spencer, Microsoft's prioritization and development time makes him unable to offer a firm release date.
