'Critical Path' documentary explores the power of controllers

The latest episode of Critical Path, a documentary series that delves into the various facets of gaming, focuses on game controllers and the impact they have on a player's experience.

Featuring interviews with renowned game developers like Nolan Bushnell, Wright Bagwell, Will Wright and David Cage, the episode looks at the relationship players have with game controllers, how they affect the way games are played and the shortcomings of game controls in many well-known titles.

Critical Path was announced in July 2012 and is a project of the Los Angeles-based agency Artifact. The first episode, in which developers like John Carmack and Jordan Mechner discuss video game graphics, can be viewed here.
