The closed beta launched today for World of Tanks Blitz, Wargaming.net's mobile massively multiplayer online game.
Those interested in joining the 150,000 players who applied for the beta, in which the developer will collect player feedback to refine World of Tanks Blitz, can apply for access at the game's North American and European websites. The closed beta, which offers 7v7 matches and more than 80 tanks from Germany, the U.S. and the U.S.S.R., is available to play on "most iPad tablets" and will arrive on other Android and iOS devices in the coming months.
"Closed beta is something we have been looking forward to for a long time," said Andrey Ryabovol, director of global operations at Wargaming.net. "We hope players enjoy participating in the testing and are anxious to hear their feedback."
World of Tanks Blitz was announced last March alongside a gallery of the mobile MMO. For more on how the game compares to its PC and Xbox 360 predecessors, you can watch a video from Wargaming.net.
