Brawler Foul Play coming to PS4 and PS Vita

Theater-based sideways-scrolling brawler Foul Play is coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita, developer Mediatonic announced today.

Originally released in September for Linux, Mac, Windows PC and Xbox 360, the game features a cast of characters doling out beatings upon an early 20th Century stage. Posting on PlayStation Blog today, developer Luke Borrett announced that the game would come to PS4 and Vita "this year".

"We're in the process of making sure everything looks great on the Vita display and in full 1080p for PS4 with our 60 FPS animations," he said. "In this encore performance, we're thrilled to announce a cross buy launch, hand-in-hand with some exciting new difficulties and optimization for each platform."

Polygon reviewed the original game last year, scoring it at 7.5, and praising its goofy world and sound combat system.
