Some PlayStation 4 owners received a survey asking for their thoughts about a "player reputation system," IGN and VGX report.
Those who received the survey from Qualtrics, a company specializing in gathering customer information online and performing market analysis, can share their thoughts on a five-option spectrum that runs from "very appealing" to "very unappealing."
Other features mentioned in the survey include an "advanced matchmaking system" that would pair players at a similar skill level or based on player preference; the ability to change your PlayStation username; and an addition that would provide on-screen notifications when friends come online.
Microsoft's Xbox One includes a system to track player behavior over time and reward those with good reputations while corralling those with bad reputations. Microsoft recently tweaked the Xbox One's reputation system to notify players penalized for "disruptive" or "abusive" behavior on Xbox Live.
We've reached out to Sony for further details and will update this article with more information as it becomes available.
