Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist, a live-action series based on the fighting game franchise, premieres on Machinima next month, according to a new Ken-themed teaser trailer.
An episodic follow-up to 2010 fan film Street Fighter: Legacy, the series follows Ryu and Ken as young men learning the ways of the Ansatsuken ("assassin's fist") fighting style. In the video above, Ken briefly ponders his past and prepares to face off against Ryu in a training match.
The "multi-format" series is set to debut on Machinima before coming to TV, on-demand and DVD and Blu-ray. According to the video's description, the series will "see how the past, present, and future of all of those characters are intertwined, as the battle to become Ansatsuken Master threatens to tear apart another generation of brothers."
Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist was funded via Kickstarter last April. The series is co-written by Legacy creator Joey Ansah and Christian Howard, who appear in the series as Akuma and Ken, respectively.
