Pokemon X and Y toys heading to McDonald’s Happy Meals

For its next range of Happy Meals, participating McDonald's restaurants in the U.S. will offer Pokémon-themed meals that include toys based on Pokémon X and Y, according to the McDonald's website.

Each Pokémon-themed meal will include a TCG card and one of 12 of toys based on characters from Pokémon X and Y, such as Pikachu, Venusaur, Servine, Pignite, Axew, Dewott, Blastoise, Woobat, Xerneas and Charizard. The toys can also be scanned using McDonald's McPlay Power mobile app to unlock minigames. You can check out the line of Pokémon X and Y toys headed to participating restaurants on the official website.

From March 28 through April 4, McDonald's restaurants in the U.S. and Puerto Rico offered a Skylanders-themed Happy Meal. Each meal came with one of eight toys based on a selection of the game's characters: Chompy, Eruptor, Free Ranger, Freeze Blade, Magna Charge, Prism Break, Rattle Shake and Wash Buckler. McDonald's and Activision offered Skylanders Giants figures in Happy Meals last year.
