Players can customize character models, battle cries and craft weapons. Battlefields can support up to 100 enemies with progressive AI on screen at the same time. The game offers 51 different stages and will include battle stages from Atelier, Dynasty Warriors, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 and Samurai Warriors.

Gameplay includes online and offline modes, along with the introduction new Duel Mode, a mix of team 3 vs. 3 combat and card battles. PS4 users can capture screenshots and livestream games or co-op play across Story, Free and Gauntlet modes.
