The next video game entry in the Adventure Time franchise, Adventure Time: The Secret of the Nameless Kingdom, will be available for Nintendo 3DS, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Steam in November, developer WayForward announced today.
The Secret of the Nameless Kingdom is the third title in the franchise, following Hey Ice King! Why'd You Steal Our Garbage?! and Explore the Dungeon Because I Don't Know!. According to WayForward, the latest game will be "reminiscent of early high fantasy console games" and feature top-down action-adventure gameplay with a puzzle-solving element.
"In Adventure Time: The Secret of the Nameless Kingdom, players take on the personas of both Finn and Jake as they navigate through the eponymous kingdom — a mysterious unexplored region in the Land of Ooo," the game's description reads. "They will discover hidden secrets by exploring all corners of a new kingdom created exclusively for the game and encounter never-seen-before characters and creatures."
In March, Little Orbit and Cartoon Network announced that they would release a new Adventure Time game this year. Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why'd You Steal Our Garbage?! was released in 2012. Its follow-up, Adventure Time: Explore the Dungeon Because I Don't Know! launched last year.
Further details on The Secret of the Nameless Kingdom will be announced as the game nears its release.
