Puzzle platformer VVVVVV hitting iOS on June 12

Terry Cavanagh's 2D puzzle platformer VVVVVV is hitting iOS this Thursday, June 12, the developer confirmed with Polygon today.

Cavanagh submitted the game to the iTunes App Store in late May. The game features swipe-and-hold controls for movement, which Canvagh noted is "super responsive."

An Android version is also in the works, to be published at a later date. VVVVVV along with Cavangh's twitch-based Super Hexagon — which was initially published for iOS in fall 2012 — are also slated to launch for the Ouya Android microconsole. A PlayStation Vita port is also being developed by Cave Story developer Nicalis.
