Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack consumes PS3, Xbox 360 this week

DrinkBox Studios action-platformer, Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack, is available now on the PlayStation 3 in North America and tomorrow in Europe, while the Xbox 360 version hits tomorrow.

"Last year, we did nothing Blob-related and shipped some wrestling game," Matthew Johns, production assistant at Drinkbox Studios wrote on the official PlayStation blog. "This year, we've been working on ways to make the experience bigger and better for customers who want Mutant Blobs Attack in the living-room on PS3. Soon, we'll be adding you to our design process, so that you can help us shape the future of how Mutant Blobs do their Attacking."

The platformer tasks players with growing from a mutant globule to a citywide monstrosity. Players can fly, stick to objects and move platforms using telekinesis to achieve their goal. Mutant Blobs Attack features 24 levels, top-down bonus stages, leaderboards and trophies/achievements.

The game will retail for $7.99/€6.99/£5.49. Players can also purchase the Delicious Bundle for PS3 that consists of the game, soundtrack, theme and avatars for $11.49. Mutant Blobs Attack was initially released for the PS Vita in early 2012 and those who own the original title can pick up the Vita Upgrade Bundle, which includes everything in the Delicious Bundle, for $3.99. The game and its bundles will be 10 percent off for PlayStation Plus subscribers for one week.
