Report: Titanfall sequel is 'in planning stages,' to be available for PS4

Another report says Titanfall's sequel won't be exclusive to Microsoft platforms and the game, which will be available on PlayStation 4 is "in the planning stages."

That's according to The Wall Street Journal, citing a source "close to the development effort." Electronic Arts, Titanfall's publisher, declined to comment to the Journal.

This rumor follows a report from March in which sources told Polygon the sequel would not be a Microsoft exclusive. The game launched March 11 for Xbox One and PC and a month later for Xbox 360.

In October, Vince Zampella, the founder of Titanfall's studio Respawn Entertainment, tweeted that Respawn would eventually make games for PS4 and implied that Titanfall's exclusivity was limited only to the first game.

Titanfall was the biggest selling video game in the United States in March and April.
