Splinter Cell fan-made film teases Sam Fisher's early years

A trailer for the fan-made, live-action adaptation of Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell teases the origins of the highly trained black-ops agent Sam Fisher.

Called The Splinter Cell, the film is "entirely a labor of love" from Atomic Productions and will follow Sam's early years. It stars John Redlinger and is being directed by Ben and Andrew Adams, while Andrew penned the script. According to the movie's Facebook page, production is already complete.

A release date for the film has not been announced. You can watch the trailer above, while more of Atomic Productions' work is available on its YouTube channel.

Ubisoft's latest entry in the series, Splinter Cell: Blacklist was released last year. For more on the game, check out our review.
