Bloodborne is coming next year, but first you can play it at Gamescom

Bloodborne, the upcoming action role-playing game from Dark Souls developer From Software, is expected to launch next year, producer Jun Yoshino recently told Digital Spy.

"We're really working flat out to get this game out for early 2015," Yoshino said.

In the meantime, Gamescom attendees will have the chance to try out the first hands-on demo on the show floor, and the game will make appearances at "all upcoming major game shows."

"There we can gauge first hand the reaction to the game," Yoshino said.

Gamescom 2013 will take place in Cologne, Germany, from Aug. 13 - 17.

Bloodborne was announced at E3 2014 and is being developed for PlayStation 4. The game will take place in an ancient city people travel to in search of an old medical remedy.

Originally titled Project Beast, Bloodborne was thought to be a successor to Demon's Souls; though inspired by the series, Sony's head of worldwide studios Shuhei Yoshida calls it something new entirely.
