QUBE 2, the sequel to Toxic Games' first-person puzzler, is in development for PlayStation 4, managing director Dan Da Rocha announced this week on the PlayStation Blog.
While building on its physics-based predecessor, the game will support Project Morpheus, Sony's virtual reality headset, De Roca wrote.
"The sequel is going to refine the core mechanics of the original," he wrote. "There will be a slew of new and exciting puzzles that will boggle your mind, and a tightly woven narrative which will further expand the QUBE universe. Oh, and it's being developed in Unreal Engine 4, so dem cubes are going to be extra shiny … just when you thought cubes couldn't look any better!"
The original QUBE is available for Windows PC and headed to PlayStation 3, PS4, Wii U and Xbox 360 as QUBE Director's Cut. For more on Project Morpheus, be sure to read our hands-on impressions and watch the video below.
