Atropa is a short film and proof of concept in the style of Alien and Blade Runner. With a late '70s/early '80s sci-fi aesthetic and a plot that sees Officer Cole Freeman investigating a missing research vessel in deep space, it hits all the right notes for dark, meaty science fiction.
At a little over 9 minutes, it's really just a proof of concept. There's enough to whet your appetite for a feature-length film set in this universe. Maybe even a quadrilogy?
Atropa was directed by Eli Sasich, who shares story credit with Clay Tolbert.
