Over the weekend, indie developer Erik Roystan Ross released Super Mario 64 HD, a free, fan-made, Unity-powered remake of the iconic Bob-omb Battlefield stage from the N64 classic. Having spent an embarrassing amount of time with it and explored just about every nook and cranny, we can confirm: this is a stunningly faithful recreation of Super Mario 64, one that has us equally baffled and impressed by its commitment to recreating the original game.
