Mewtwo, the legendary Pokémon and returning Smash Bros. veteran, will be added to Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS April 28, Nintendo just announced during its Nintendo Direct press conference.
The fighter will be available to purchase on either platform for $3.99, or on both for $4.99. If you owned and registered both versions of the game before March 31, you'll be able to grab Mewtwo early on both versions of the game on April 15 — and for free, to boot.
April 15 will also bring a new software update to the title, which will introduce the option to purchase downloadable characters, do some balance tweaks and add more screensharing functionality to the Wii U version of the game.
