The future of the Marvel comics universe just got a lot more clear, with the official reveal of 45 preview images, titles and creative teams. These books represent 45 of the titles that will comprise the company's editorial lineup this fall, after the events of Secret Wars. There isn't much we know for sure about how the company-wide crossover that began with the destruction of the Marvel Universe will shake out. It's a good bet that Marvel's best selling series will remain. And with the unification of a few different Marvel timelines (but not quite all of them, the multiverse structure will remain) there'll be new characters, or at least new versions of characters, to for the main Marvel universe to play around with.
What we do know is that the post-Secret Wars titles will pick up eight months after the end of the events of the crossover, and they'll be coming out sometime this fall. Marvel's been slowly announcing their new lineup (for example, the Ultimate Marvel universe's Miles Morales will headline Spider-man this fall), but this preview has given us a tantalizing look at the young X-Men on a road trip, a mystery Hulk, Scarlet Witch in her first ongoing series, Squirrel Girl on an Avengers team, and a heavily pregnant Spider-Woman.
So without further ado, here's 45 of Marvel's post-Secret Wars titles:
- G. Willow Wilson will continue her all-female Avengers team created for Secret Wars.
- Looks like Agent Coulson will be tangling with Hydra, just like usual.
- The Avengers team with only one white dude on it. (Look, the Vision is ... complicated.)
- Kate Bishop is Hawkeye, and ... Old Hawkeye is Hawkeye?
- X-23, a female clone of Wolverine, will take over his title, with him being still dead and all.
- The original X-Men, brought forward in time to the present, grapple with the modern state of mutant rights.
- Peter Parker is the amazing Spider-Man, while Miles Morales stars in the adjective-less version of the series.
- Marguerite Bennet takes on Angela's first ongoing series.
- Is that ... a guy in a bear suit?
- Writer Kelly Sue DeConnick departs Captain Marvel, but the executive producers of Agent Carter make a fine replacement.
- Yeah, I think I'll skip this mineshaft.
- Ready ... FIGHT!
- With Charles Soule in the writer's seat, you can bet that this series will contain some legal drama.
- Eat your heart out, Ryan Reynolds.
- Seems like Doctor Strange has an axe to grind. (Not sorry.)
- The first rule of intergalactic fight club is you don't talk about intergalactic fight club.
- Time to see whether any of the X-Men of the Ultimate universe survived.
- Star Lord's a lady now, and the good money's on Kitty Pryde being under that mask. Maybe she went bleach-blonde?
- Howard the Duck's only gotten four issues out as of now, but this fall he'll encounter the renumbering bat anyway.
- And you thought the Guardians of the Galaxy were a motley crew.
- Looks like the movers and shakers of the Marvel universe are back to their old secret-y antics.
- Iron Man is back in a new series with a better suit ... but less money?
- Warren Ellis' latest work for Marvel is on the Inhuman martial artist Karnak.
- Ms. Marvel continues with Takeshi Miyazawa helping out on art.
- Wiccan, Hulkling, Squirrel Girl and more in the New Avengers.
- Nova might have joined up with the All-New Avengers, but he's not the only Nova around.
- Wolverine's old ...
- Captain America's old... Everybody's old, is what I'm saying.
- Scarlet Witch has had a miniseries before, but never an ongoing!
- And now, the Spider-Titles, "spinning" off some of the most popular new characters...
- ...from this past year's Spider-verse event. Like Spider-Gwen!
- Miles Morales stars in the main Spider-Man title of the main Marvel Universe.
- While Miles is the first black character to be Spider-Man, Miguel O'Hara is the first Latino character to claim the name.
- I guess this is why we're only skipping eight months ahead from Secret Wars?
- There are casualties of Secret Wars, but not these folks.
- Space can get pretty lonely without your talking raccoon and tree around.
- Jane Foster is Thor, and she's not going anywhere.
- Someone with an oddly distinctive arm?
- The Vision gets his first ongoing series.
- So is Galactus there as background decoration, or is he on the team?
- Deadpool on an Avengers team? What could go wrong?
- Note: Inhumans package may contain some X-Men and Fantastic Four members.
- Plot twist: everyone in this picture is Mystique.
- Robbie Thompson and Ariel Olivetti take Venom on space adventures.
- Miss the insanity of the Spider-Verse crossover? This book's for you.
