The latest trailer for StarCraft 2: Legacy of the Void shows its featured race — the Protoss — struggling with all kinds of existential choices and ambitions.
No gameplay in this trailer — it's a lot of expository dialogue over storyboards — but it sets up the story behind the latest expansion and, yes, StarCraft does have a story, even if more understand the RTS as a major eSports title whose narrative is driven by the rivalries among human participants.
StarCraft 2: Legacy of the Void, the second expansion, launches on Nov. 10 for Windows PC and Mac. It closes the main trilogy of factional perspectives within the game, which began with the Terrans in 2010 and continued with the Zerg in 2013.
